Genesis Staple

Genesis Staple is a vocalist and songwriter from Texas who recently earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from The University of Texas at Austin. Her musical background spans opera, musical theatre, jazz, mariachi, conjunto, and contemporary music, allowing her to explore a wide range of styles both onstage and in the studio.

Genesis began her musical training at a fine arts school, where she studied cello, and has since become a multi-instrumentalist, playing cello, guitar, guitarrón, and keys. Throughout her time at UT Austin, she performed as a lead vocalist with jazz, mariachi, and conjunto ensembles while continuing to develop her voice across classical and contemporary styles.

As an independent artist, Genesis writes, arranges, and produces her own music, blending her diverse musical background with her love of pop and R&B. She is passionate about creating music that feels honest, expressive, and uniquely her own, while continuing to grow as a performer, songwriter, and producer.
