Upcoming Performance Information

Fall Newsletter

Pfluger-Rock is celebrating 25 years of music education! Thank you to our students, staff, and families for your continued support. We could not be here without you all!

Upcoming Important Dates:

  • School Closed for Halloween October 31st

  • School Closed for Fall Break November 24th - 30th

  • Pflugerville Piano Pformal December 13th

Quick Reminders-

  • Student Resources: You can always find our school calendar, upcoming performance information and your student portal on our Student Resources page here -  https://www.pflugerrockschoolofmusic.com/student-resources You can easily cancel lessons and schedule make-ups in your student portal at any time.

  • 24hr Cancellation Policy: We understand that illnesses can arise unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy is designed to protect our instructors' income, not to penalize students. When you enroll, you reserve a dedicated time slot with an instructor in a specific room each week. This means that both the instructor and the teaching space are exclusively allocated for your lesson, and your instructor invests time in preparing a personalized lesson specifically for you in advance.

  • Virtual Lessons: In most cases, we can convert to a virtual lesson with short notice due to illness, weather, transportation, etc. If the roads are ever deemed unsafe for travel by local authority, all lessons will be converted to virtual for that day. If we do not have you set up for virtual lessons, please get with the desk. While it may not be ideal for continued lessons, we find that it is a good idea to be prepared in case you find yourself needing to jump online instead of heading to our campus.

  • Withdrawal Policy: With holidays approaching, please keep in mind that we do not have a “pause” option for lessons. To discontinue lessons and cancel future tuition drafts, you must submit a withdrawal form no later than the 15th of the final month you wish to be billed for lessons. For your convenience, the withdrawal form may be submitted online here - https://www.pflugerrockschoolofmusic.com/withdrawal-form

We are excited to announce the pfirst ever Pflugerville Piano Pformal, proudly co-hosted by Pfluger-Rock and Out of this World Music Schools. This opportunity is ideal for those who are seeking a more traditional recital experience and venue. The venue has a concert grand piano for students to use. In addition to piano students, students who are interested in performing an acoustic instrument like violin or acoustic guitar are also welcome to join. Vocal performances are also welcome, but must be a capella. Please note that we will not have any speakers or gear to facilitate electronic performances. We will not be printing shirts for this event, but all participants will receive a commemorative trophy. ***Please note that performers MUST remain present for the duration of their concert, no exceptions. We deeply value the significant impact that performance has on musicians and strongly encourage all students to participate at some level. Even a mini-recital for family and stuffed animals at home can be profoundly beneficial!

Our goal is to provide students with several unique opportunities throughout the year to engage with musical performance in the settings they most enjoy. We are excited to try new things like the Rock of all Ages event with the City of Pflugerville, the Concert at Kick Butt Coffee, and the Piano Pformal later this year.

Our community is incredibly important to us, and we warmly invite you to share your thoughts, requests, and inspirations for student performances in the future. Please email lessons@pfluger-rock.com and your input will be considered in our upcoming performance planning.

Thank you for 25 wonderful years of music and community,
The staff @ PflugerRock School of Music

Participation is optional, but students are encouraged to join. We do not grade or judge the performance. We want our students to showcase the work they’ve put into practicing and attending lessons. We want this to be fun and build confidence. Perfection is not expected. We’re just friends enjoying our kids playing music. If your child is not ready to perform, we welcome you to attend the recital as an audience member. It can be helpful to know what to expect at a recital, and the extra applause is always appreciated. If the date doesn’t work for you or your child is new to lessons, we’ll have another showcase in the spring.

We are accepting t-shirt pre-orders through September 7th. Each shirt will have a list of performers with the song(s) performed on the back and a fun, new design on the front.
