Travis Nance

Travis's love for music started early when he taught himself short songs on the family piano by ear. In middle school he joined his school's band program, learning euphonium alongside various other brass and woodwind instruments. By high school, Travis was actively involved in marching band, choir, and musical theatre programs in his school district. Throughout this time, he was endlessly inspired by the extraordinary compassion exhibited by the music educators that aided him on the journey to musical excellence. From this experience, Travis went on to study voice and composition at The University of Texas at Austin where he participated in various choral ensembles and composed music for multiple musical theatre productions. As an educator, Travis is committed to fostering fun and supportive relationships with his students and their families, focusing on what excites them about music while encouraging musical excellence and growth. Music helped change Travis's life for the better, and he is beyond excited to help do the same for his students at Pfluger-Rock!
